Husum 2006

We started this trip with my new vehicle. The old Volkswagen Passat had after 277810 km disused. It did certainly will be able to run me 12 years good services. It run somewhere in Europe yet further 100000 km (so far the conclusion to an old car).

The heat wave in Europe increases the anticipation on the vacation, doesn't have to the vacation stopped.

Until we started into the vacation, it was the end of August.
The trip to Hattstedt, a district of Husum, passed quickly and the vacations dwelling was belaid speedily. Our landlord declared in detail, what gives it worthwhile in the area, had put us also

lists ready. We are drove yet once to Husum in order to inform ourselves more exact, and also booked for the next day a round trip with train, bus and Ship To the island Sylt and through the Wadden Sea back . We had rain fortunately most only during the trips.

Day 2
After the breakfast, we went to that Watt Forum. Here also a two tons heavy Sperm Whale Skull is showed.
In the afternoon we visited that Seal station In Friedrichskoog. Here become attended left or injured seals and

Tag 8

With the rental car, I wanted to make this day no large tours, so we went to that "Hamburger Hallig" My bus should be finished so went about noon, and we go only a short way on the dam. It was all the days very windy and cold, here above, in the north of Germany.

Day 9
A day had come, that promised no good weather. So we made, whom already planned trip for a day, to

Rømø, north of Sylt. On the B5, it goes to north to Denmark. On the island, arrives with the car over a 10 km long Dam, well expanded. On that satellite-picture the extraordinarily large sand beach is to be seen in the west of the island. It is possible to be driven up

themselves with the car until directly at the water, however not very harmlessly because must note the tiedes or that the tires in the wet sand on ditch - it should give cars that swim.

Day 12
To make around cares we stayed at this day in Nordstrand. Also this island connected with a dam with the mainland. On that, in these days deserted dams, stay large quantities of sheep, Wollschweine (wool-pigs) how the north frieze maintains

On Nordstrand we seen also this tractor out of straw.

Day 13
For the last day of our stay, the lock of the north-Baltic Sea-canal in

Brunsbüttel stood on the program. For the passage, that was "Regatta" and that "Norwegian Dream" (Ship data) announced.
The trip led us first of all through Dittmarschen, the vegetable garden in Schleswig-Holstein to Brunsbüttel at the Elbe mouth.

Day 14

The day of the departure had come. Very early we rose, loaded the bus and were around 7:30 clock on the road direction Dutch boundary, here we picked up a guest for the next week.
