Eschborn is something special. Who approaches the city with the car, already from a distance the Skyline of the trade area south recognizes. The many international enterprises, brought prosperity to our city

Already more than 3500 years ago the first Eschborner made itself domestic along Westerbach brook. Referring to the early settlement were on the hill of direction Steinbach. There 1879 utensils were found from the Bronze Age.
Clearly visible traces left the Romans. The today's Eschborn lay in the hinterland of the Limes. The Alamannic trunks followed the Romans. Graves excited attention from this time, which with the extension of the cemetery were found to 1983

For the first time in the year 1189 the knights are mentioned by Eschborn, who built a tower castle with walls and water ditch.
1389 were Eschborn scene of a battle between the Kronberg knights, to whose possession Eschborn belonged, and which troops of the free realm city Frankfurt.

The 30-year lasting war led 1622 however times to the complete destruction of the town. Also in the following centuries Eschborn did not remain spared by the effects of the politically jerky times.
The bloom began 1874 with the building of the railway from Frankfurt to Kronberg. In only 100 years the population increased tenfold up to the year 1970, when Eschborn received municipal rights.
